Midfielder Alan Dzagoev was supposed to be that player, but he has never really gone to the next level. Striker Aleksandr Kokorin has 12 goals in his international career, but he isn’t scaring anyone. If the Russians don’t make it out of the group stage, it won’t be pretty.

This is the third time that Egypt has qualified for the World Cup, and the first time since 1990. They won their CAF group to get here, and they should be led by Mohamed Salah, who is playing extremely well at Liverpool right now. Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia qualified for four World Cups in a row from 1994 to 2006, and now they’re back after finishing second in their AFC group. Nawaf Al-Abid scored five goals to lead Saudi Arabia in qualification, and he might be their best chance on the counterattack. But Saudi Arabia’s mission at this World Cup will be to limit the damage as they simply don’t have the players to compete with the other teams in the group. If they were to pick up a point, it would be a very good tournament for Saudi Arabia in Russia.
