A bettor can purchase as many squares as they wish and they add their name in one of the 100 boxes on the 10 x 10 square. To get started, create your squares pool online or download our free printable football squares sheet. Once your blank football squares board is ready to go, players can begin selecting squares prior to kick-off. How to run a 100 Square Football Pool

There is no difference between the gird above and the Super Bowl Squares that you use every year for the big game. The grid above allows you to edit the team names, so it can be used for any game of the season. Step 1 Print the square grid from above and fill in the two blank lines beside the word 'Team', with the two teams that will be playing. It does not matter which team goes on which line, as long as it is done before the rest of the office pool takes place. Step 2 Take the grid around to family, friends, and co-workers, having each participant place their name in the square or squares of their choice. If you think you will be unable to fill the entire grid check out our 25 square grid and 50 square grid. Step 3 Once all the squares are full it is time to set up the drawing. This can be done in many ways, listed below are 2 examples. After determining the drawing method, draw the numbers one at a time placing the numbers from left to right starting with the first gray square box in the top row, continue across the top row until the numbers are gone. After that is complete you will redraw the numbers, this time placing the drawn numbers in the gray square boxes in the left column, starting at the top. Example 1: Write the numbers 0-9 on pieces of paper and place them in a hat. Example 2: Get a deck of cards A through 10, the ace represents a one, the 10 represents a 0, 2-9 are face value Step 4 Now is time for the fun!! Begin watching the game, at the end of each quarter match the last digit of each teams score with the grid. Example: At the end of the first quarter the team listed at the top has 17 and the left column team has 14. Go to the top row of numbers and find the number 7(last digit of 17) then go to the left column of numbers and find the number 4(last digit of 14) find where these two numbers intersect on the grid and the name in that square wins the first quarter. You will follow this step for all four quarters. Be sure to discuss what is going to be done in case of an overtime, some people will just ignore the overtime score, some people will substitute the overtime score for the 4th quarter, and others will declare 5 winners. Once again to avoid problems make sure all of this is discussed before the game begins. *Our grids are intended for entertainment purposes only. For those who don't already know, in a squares pool, everyone picks one or more out of100 squares. This is your typical 100 square football pool.At the end of each quarter of the game, the score is used to determinewhich square won. Only 1 square will be a winner each quarter. What you do istake the LAST digit of the first team's score, and find that number on the left. Then follow thatrow over to the column that matches the last digit of the SECOND team's score.

Certain scores are of course more likely than others. Therefore, when they pick their square(s), they don't know what theNUMBERS are on the left and on the top. After everyone picks their square(s), the gamerunner will generate the numbers.

So, WHICH numbers are more likely??? I'll just go back to last year (2011) and see how many NFL scores ended in eachnumber. I'm skipping pre-season games, so up through the conference championships, you had 267 games, so you had 534 scores.So, which superbowl squares numbers are more likely, which ones happen more often? HERE IT IS:

Running it with just 1 number instead of 4 numbers

OK MAJOR UPDATE!!!. I have now added the ability for you to have just ONE number instead of 4! I still think it's a lot better to have 4 sets of numbers (one for each quarter), because if you get stuck with,say, a 2 and a 5, you are stuck with that for the whole game! If you have the 4 sets of numbers, you get tohave a new chance every quarter.At least make itmore fun so they can cheer and hope for their score to come up on quarter 1, 2, 3, AND the final score!So, EVERY quarter they can go 'come on... come on all I need is a field goal... don't miss it.. don't miss it...'(and then of course he missed it!). Or those that hope against hope can go 'all I need is a SAFETY in the next5 minutes...'... And then they get it! Can you imagine the screams on that one???

However, if you MUST do it with just one number, I now have that option! When creating your pool, there is a drop down foreither '4 numbers on each row/column', or 'just 1 number on each row/column'.

If your game runner is one of those dinosaurs who insists on running his game on a spreadsheet (or, even worse,on paper!), you can STILL use this site. Just take HIS spreadsheet, strip out all the crap leaving just the10 X 10 names, and you can UPLOAD the spreadsheet into this site. That makes it more fun during the game, everyonecan see who's winning, and you don't have to 'figure it out', the program finds the winner for you. AND, you can keepputting in possibilities, like, say, the score is 17 - 3 in the middle of the first quarter, you can easilysee who would win if it STAYS that way, or you can try it like, say, if the NFC gets another field goal who would win.
